Tami Howard Carr serves as Senior Director, Media Group. As a 25-year broadcast news veteran, Carr works alongside a variety of clients to coordinate news coverage and communicate with reporters and producers across the country. She works closely with TFPR CMO Betsy Dixon and VP Angela Lang to lead TFPR’s “Media Relations Newsroom”.
A three-time Emmy award winner, Carr has earned the Edward R. Murrow Award for her work in local news. She managed broadcast newsrooms in Minneapolis and Des Moines as well as FOX4 and CW33 in Dallas and KTVT CBS 11 in Fort Worth. Carr has also produced the 10 p.m. news at WFAA News 8 in Dallas.
In 2021, Carr produced the YouTube series, “Hey Sis,” a show working to break barriers and change stereotypes about Muslims in America.
Carr serves on the board of directors of the Dallas nonprofit Kimiya International, working to elevate humanity through human rights documentaries and trauma therapy programs.
A wife and proud mom, Carr spends most weekends at the youth baseball fields. Her shelter rescue, Lieutenant Dan, is a sweet (but silly) three-legged pup.
