Kate Okiomah serves as Senior Director, Media Group at Tony Fay PR.
Okiomah joins the TFPR team after leading KO Communications, a communications and marketing consultancy she founded in 2018, for the past six and a half years. At TFPR, Okiomah will oversee clients including Overland Partners, United Pickleball Association, Perot Museum of Nature and Science, YMCA, and more. She is responsible for driving strategic media initiatives and working hand-in-hand with the TFPR team and its clients.
Prior to her new role at TFPR, Okiomah led strategic communications and media initiatives for clients from startups to Fortune 100 companies such as Coca-Cola, Major League Cricket, Special Olympics USA Games, Women’s Tennis Association, and more. Securing clients media placements on Good Morning America, CNN, Forbes, Sportscenter, BBC, and others, spanning from regional to national and international coverage.
Okiomah’s previous experience also includes serving as Vice President of Marketing and Communications at STRIVE Tech Inc., where she managed strategic campaigns and collaborated with elite athletes and industry partners to amplify the brand’s impact. She also worked in key communications roles at the Women’s Tennis Association and the Ladies Professional Golf Association, where she managed tour and athlete media relations on a global scale. She began her career with the Arizona Diamondbacks in their sales and marketing department, while working on their charitable initiatives including traveling to the Dominican Republic with the leadership team to renovate local baseball fields – which serves as one of her highlights to the early days.
A graduate of the University of Kansas (proud Jayhawk) with dual degrees in Journalism and Communication Studies, Okiomah’s passion for sports and communication was ignited during her time as a varsity tennis player. Originally from Arizona, she now resides in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex with her husband, two daughters, and their dog, bringing a relationship-driven approach to every project and partnership.
