Tami Howard Carr

Tami Howard Carr is a 25-year broadcast news veteran.  As an award-winning local journalist, she elevated newsrooms in Dallas/Fort Worth, Iowa and Minnesota.

A three-time Emmy award winner, Carr has received the Edward R. Murrow award for her work in local news.

She managed broadcast newsrooms in Minneapolis and Des Moines, IA, as well as FOX4 and CW33 in Dallas, and KTVT CBS 11 in Fort Worth. Carr also produced the 10 p.m. news for a time at WFAA News 8 in Dallas.

In 2021, Carr produced the YouTube series, “Hey Sis,” a show working to break barriers and change stereotypes about Muslims in America.

Carr is on the board of directors of the Dallas non-profit Kimiya International. Its mission is to elevate humanity through human rights documentaries and trauma therapy programs.

A wife and proud mom, Carr can be found most weekends at the youth baseball fields. Her shelter rescue, Lieutenant Dan, is a sweet (but silly) three-legged pup.
