Mi Cocina on the Park Prepares for Grand Opening
Flagship Restaurant at Klyde Warren Park Opening to Public on October 18

DALLAS (October 11, 2021) – After months of anticipation, an iconic Tex-Mex restaurant
is preparing to open its newest location in one of the most recognizable restaurant spaces
in Dallas. Mi Cocina on the Park will begin serving its legendary brisket tacos, Mambo
Taxis and other authentic Tex-Mex favorites at Klyde Warren Park on Monday, October
Following an extensive renovation of the former Savor restaurant space, M Crowd CEO
and President Edgar Guevara is eager to welcome guests to the swanky new space
designed by Droese Raney. Featuring an inviting patio and dining area, a separate bar
experience and an outdoor walk-up service window, the newest Mi Cocina will offer food
and drinks that appeal to all generations of Park-goers.

The design preserves the original beauty of the building while incorporating unique
aspects of Mexican culture, including a custom art installation from artist Luis Sottil. All
furnishings, pottery and décor have been custom-designed for the space by local artisans
and craftsmen, including furniture fabricated from white oak and hand-packed concrete
planters that bring the Park’s landscape into the restaurant.

“Mi Cocina has a rich history in Dallas, and the opening of this unique landmark location
coincides beautifully with the celebration of our 30-year anniversary serving our loyal
supporters,” said Guevara. “For three decades, Mi Cocina has been welcoming
generations into our restaurants like family, and we know this opportunity will allow us to
further anchor and invest in our community.”

The 11,000-square-foot restaurant space was originally designed by architect Thomas
Phifer and intended to be the jewel of the Park. The sleek, contemporary design not only
adds beauty to the green space, but also significant funds that benefit the Park and its
mission to serve the Dallas community with year-round free programming and events. Mi
Cocina recently made a $50,000 donation to support the Park’s programs, marking the
beginning of their partnership.

“Successful restaurants are an economic engine for many parks around the world,
including Central Park in New York and Millennium Park in Chicago,” said Kit Sawers,
Klyde Warren Park President. “We’re thrilled to bring together two iconic Dallas brands in
Mi Cocina and Klyde Warren Park and to offer our patrons exceptional Tex-Mex cuisine
while they enjoy the Park’s stunning views.”

This restaurant marks Mi Cocina’s 22nd location. Mi Cocina on the Park will be open
seven days a week for lunch and dinner and will serve a special brunch menu on the
