How to throw a Birthday party for 20,000 of your closest friends
CLIENT:
UNITED WAY OF METROPOLITAN DALLAS

THE CHALLENGE:
Tony Fay Public Relations has played a key role in the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas’ (UWMD) communications strategy since 2014, when it helped the organization develop an unparalleled 90thAnni-versary Celebration. Working alongside 90th Anniversary co-chairs Troy Aikman and Charlotte Jones Anderson, Tony Fay and long time collaborators Kit Sawers worked to plan and execute a year-build up of nine community events (each hosted by a Dallas Cowboys legend) that highlighted the UWMD’s impact areas in North Texas. Titled “Nine for 90,” the program created a drumbeat for the anni -versary year while also recognizing the four-decade old relationship between the NFL and the United Way.

"Tony Fay and his staff are true and gracious friends. Not only are they creative in generating the initial ideas, but they help take a great idea and make it so much bigger."

-- JENNIFER SAMPSON, PRESIDENT & CEO OF THE UNITED WAY OF METROPOLITAN DALLAS

The Result

The program culminated in a concert at AT&T Stadium that gave over 20,000 of the organization’s most ardent supporters – from global CEOs, to some of the region’s best known philanthropists, to the everyday men and women who serve the UWMD’s community partners -- a chance to participate in a birthday party so big, it was headlined by a full concert by global superstars Usher and Blake Shelton.

Tony Fay Public Relations continues its work with the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, managing all Public Relations for the organization and providing creative input and ex-ecution to a variety of special initiatives.
