Betsy Dixon

Drawing from an accomplished background in television news, Betsy Dixon crossed over into a career in public relations with a unique understanding of how media works. A former news reporter and anchor at television stations in Sherman and Tyler, Texas, Oklahoma City, and most recently at KTVT-CBS 11 in Dallas/Fort Worth, she has leveraged her knowledge and relationships to create positive, impactful media coverage for North Texas nonprofits and sports organizations for the last 10 years.

Dixon has effectively driven media coverage surrounding the philanthropic focus of both the AT&T Byron Nelson golf tournament, benefitting recent PGA Tour Charity of the Year Momentous Institute, and the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic. Also included in her cause-marketing client resume are the College Football Playoff Foundation, the Dallas Stars Foundation, PGA Reach, American Cancer Society, Children’s Medical Center Foundation, Klyde Warren Park and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. Her work publicizing United Way’s “Nine for 90” community volunteerism campaign, featuring nine Dallas Cowboys Legends celebrating the organization’s 90th anniversary, helped earn a PRSA Silver Anvil Award.

Dixon is a graduate of Southern Methodist University, with a bachelor’s of arts degree in broadcast journalism. She’s the proud mom of two teenage sons, Mitchell and Mac. A native of Florence, Alabama, she’s a surprisingly knowledgeable SEC football fan.
