Prior to joining Tony Fay Public Relations as vice president of public relations & client management, Angela Lang worked as a broadcast journalist, social media/digital producer, marketing executive and content strategist. A storyteller at heart, Angela enjoys crafting stories and building a strategic plan to share those stories across multiple platforms and outlets. With more than 20 years of experience across a wide range of positions within the communication industry, Angela brings a unique and effective approach to developing media pitches that draw attention and ultimately coverage. In her role at Tony Fay PR, Angela leads and supports on media strategy for a range of clients. She also serves as producer for two TFPR podcasts, Bowl Season Stories and Mic Drop.
Angela began her career as a news reporter and anchor at KOMU-TV while completing a broadcast journalism degree at the University of Missouri. She went on to work in the same role for news stations in Omaha, Nebraska (KMTV), Savannah, Georgia (WJCL/WTGS), Las Vegas (KVBC), and Mobile, Alabama (WPMI). Angela also worked as a digital reporter and social media manager for CBSDFW (KTVT) in Dallas. As a journalist, she covered a range of stories, including the inauguration of President Barack Obama, the arrest & armed robbery trial of OJ Simpson, and the arrest & trial of polygamist Warren Jeffs.
In 2015, Angela transitioned to a career in marketing, joining the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. She eventually ascended to vice president of marketing, where she led the development, execution, and alignment of brand strategy, communications and campaigns to heighten visibility of the organization’s impact, grow and retain funding streams, and elevate engagement levels.
Angela is a devoted wife, mother and avid sports fan. She lives with her family in her childhood hometown of Grand Prairie, Texas.
